6th Annual VI Scouts Canoe Challenge

April 6, 2016 Leave a Comment

On Saturday April 2, 10 members of the 1st Arbutus scout troop headed up to Lake Quennel for the Canoe Challenge.  What we found was a well run, challenging, fun event where there was laughter to be found all over the event site from the archery range to the water to the campfire.  There were youth participating from all over Vancouver Island as well as Powell River and the Mainland.  Thank you to Scouter Ryan and his terrific crew from 1st Cedar.  Special note goes to our canoe #22 crewed by Christopher and Kenzie who placed 2nd overall out of 43 canoe teams.  With tired scouts full of sunshine and pizza at the end of the day, I have a feeling 1st Arbutus will be back at this event…
