REGISTRATION FEES

How much does Scouting cost? As little as possible, but nothing worthwhile is free. Registration fees must be paid annually.

Please Visit https://Scouts.ca for more information.

REGISTRATION FEE ASSISTANCE FOR FAMILIES IN NEED

Jump start funds are available to families in need, yet those families need to make those connections directly. Scouts Canada is not responsible for any of the paperwork, and does not allocate the local funds available for families. There is a 1-800 number for families, and I believe the application form is available online.

NOLB (No One Left Behind).  Developed in 2007, No One Left Behind (NOLB) helps to ensure, through fee subsidization, that every child has an opportunity to experience a local Scouts Canada program. The NOLB expanded in 2011 to fund after school programs, as well as uniforms and camps.  The program is aimed at children from families struggling with financial hardship all across Canada – so that they also get the chance to benefit from the values, skills and experiences offered through Scouting.  The opportunity to belong to a group that teaches important life skills, self-esteem and community service has a huge impact on these youth. NOLB is not intended to cover 100% of a child’s Scouting membership fee. Families need please go to https://www.scouts.ca/programs/no-one-left-behind.html to start the application process.

FEES for OUTINGS / ACTIVITIES

From time to time, we will go on outings and visits. Sections try to schedule at least one outing per month. Some of these activities may also require additional fees. Sections will advise parents of these opportunities well in advance through notices and/or monthly calendars or newsletters.
